1:1 copy of an existing Maching without an Image-Tool

Recommended Posts

Hello,

first I want to apologize for my bad English.

Now to my task:

I would like to existing PCs (Windows 7) complete - import (other hardware) to another PC - including all applications, settings, user profiles.

Have indeed of "User State Migration" read, but somehow not yet fulfilled my needs. It's important that the Windows operating system including part but special software is completely taken over.

I would be very grateful for a list of the necessary steps. Now expect no step-by-step instructions, but somehow I had thought SCCM 2012 should offer something.

Optimally even if the user after the capture of his old machine can continue to work to completion of the new device would be (when Prepare yes Sysprep runs, among other things, that I removed the user profiles ...)

It is also possible to create a capture without previous preparation and until Nachhinhein alone (ie without waiting for the employee must) "clean up"?

So then after the rail:

- Creation of an image of your old PC (without Sysprep - just 1:1)

- Import the image into new PC

- Run Sysprep on new PC (remove driver, etc.)

- User profiles from the old PC to copy to new PC

- Replace PC:-D

There is no problem if the employee does not even work for half an hour, but can I can not take him to the PC for 2-3 hours until the new PC is fully available, including his profile / settings etc.. :-/

Thanks for tips! :-)

Sincerely,

Stefan Z.

PS. Thanks so much for this many - extremely described in detail - guidance on SCCM 2012! Works perfectly - even if now my problem is solvable obriges I give this installation her no more! :-D
