pseudoyams Posted April 22, 2013 Report post Posted April 22, 2013 When deploying monthly updates via SCCM, I create an Update List specifically for that month and whether they are workstation or server updates (image below). Ive been doing this now for about 18 months and, thus, have about 18 Updates Lists for each server and workstation type. What is the best way to manage these? Id like to roll these up to reduce the amount of Update lists I see. Quarterly or yearly would be preferred. Id appreciate any discussion on how you manage your Update Lists efficiently. Thanks! Jorgen Nilsson Posted April 22, 2013 Report post Posted April 22, 2013 Hi, Basically Update lists are used to make deployment easier of course but, reporting is the main reason I would say. I normally wrap them up during the end of the year and create one for 2012 updates for instance. But it depends on which level you are required/need to be able to produce reports. pseudoyams Posted April 23, 2013 Report post Posted April 23, 2013 How do you roll them up? Simply drag the monthly Update List to a yearly and delete the month? Id appreciate anything you can share with your procedures. Thanks.
