Missing Bootmgr

Question

Hello!

Just to give a brief intro...This is my first tech job and first forums account. I recently took over managing SCCM at the tech level and having a lot of issues, so I hope you all can help. The person I took over for didn't take notes on what he was doing and so I had to start from nothing but this big orange book. System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Unleashed

I have worked through most of my issues but I can't seem to get past the following:

I get "Missing Bootmgr" after I image a machine with an image I built.

Currently we do have a Windows 7 image in place but it is old and needs to be updated. I have run through the steps to creating a new image with the Image Capture media and it captured just fine without errors. However, once I replace the old image with the new one (Same name) I get the "Missing Bootmgr" error after the image has installed and the computer restarts.

I have to be missing something simple, I just have no clue what it is.

there is nothing wrong in that log file, are you sure it's the correct one and that is is just before the problem occurs ?
