jooliver Posted April 26, 2013 Report post Posted April 26, 2013 Hi, team In my infrastructure I have about 2000 clients with Win XP SP3 Now we want to migrate these clients to Win 8. Now we migrating our SCCM 2007 to 2012 SP1. So we want to use SCCM functionality in Windows migration process and we have several questions: 1) Can we done ZTI migration (no user interaction) from XP to Win 8 with transfer user files (USMT) with SCCM 12SP1? 2) Does this ZTI migration require additional toolkits MDT ect, if yes, what versions of toolkits? 3) What version of USMT we must to use for this migration 4.0 or 5.0 (Win8 require 5.0 but we will capture user profiles from XP) ? 4) Can it be done with SCCm 2007 ? 0 anyweb Posted April 27, 2013 Report post Posted April 27, 2013 1. yes 2. no unless you are specifically using MDT integration in Configuration Manager, in that case it's MDT 2012 update 1 3. User State Migration Tool for Windows 8 (USMT 5) 4. no, use Configuration Manager 2012 SP1 for all Windows 8 deployments (or migrations to Windows 8)
