Clearing old errors on DPs?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

System Information: All servers are running server 2008 R2, SCCM 2012 SP1 with no cas. Just a primary and 15 DPs.

I've tried searching to discover if this issue has been addressed elsewhere but I've not had any luck finding anything similar. The issue we have is during the Setup of our DPs we encountered some errors that showed up under Distribution Status--Distribution Point Configuration Status for several of the DPs.

The errors never seemed to go away. Here we are well over a month later and I still have Failed to create virtual directory on about 4 of the dps however after that I have content hash verifying successfully and content being distributed. Also when examing the dps this error showed up on I can see the virtual directory. So my question is should i ignore this error in the hope that some day it will go away or rebuilt the dps that still show it or is there someplace that i need to change a setting to flush old errors from the logs?

The clients that use these dps dont seem to have an issue getting their updates from the dp as far as we've been able to determine..

Also I have an even older error from 2 months back about 'failed to validate content hash' however that dp has been getting content with no issue since then.. IIS was successfully configured, etc.

Thanks in advance..
