nshen1 Posted May 20, 2013 Report post Posted May 20, 2013 Hi, Hoping for some help with an issue that we are experiencing with a SMS Provider. Looking in the 'Configuration Manager Setup' -> 'Perform site maintenance or reset this site' -> 'Modify SMS Provider configuration' there are two SMS Providers in the 'Uninstall the specified SMS Provider' section. (We have 2 data centers, Primary and site server in one DC with SMS Provider on Primary, and in other DC a SQL Replica and a site server as a SMS Provider). This is fine and as it should be, but when we look in the ConfigMgr 2012 console -> Administration -> Site Configuration -> Sites and check the properties of the site, there are three SMS Providers listed... We have tried to install a SMS Provider on the third server listed that shouldn't be a Provider, and on doing so a message was displayed saying the server currently has a SMS Provider installed. We continued the installation and then in the 'Configuration Manager Setup' -> 'Perform site maintenance or reset this site' -> 'Modify SMS Provider configuration'.. three SMS Providers were listed in the Uninstall the specified SMS Provider section (as you would expect). We then uninstalled the SMS Provider from the third server (that we do not want to be a provider) and the uninstall said it was successful. There are now only 2 SMS Providers showing in the Configuration Manager Setup again... but still three showing in the Site properties. So... we are not sure how we can uninstall the SMS Provider so it is no longer listed in the Site Properties. All the servers are new builds and have not been part of any other ConfigMgr hierarchy.
