mikedisd Posted June 18, 2013 Report post Posted June 18, 2013 In my SCCM 2012 config, I have 3x distribution points that are no longer active and I need to remove them from the config. I've read that I need to remove the roles before deletion but the Component Server and Site System have "Remove Role" greyed out. I can't find the solution to this on Google but it must be fairly straight forward (must be). If need be I can switch the old DP servers back on. Any ideas greatly appreciated, thanks. mikedisd Posted June 20, 2013 Report post Posted June 20, 2013 OK, so I switched on the old DP server, manually uninstalled all roles / features and left overnight. Come in this morning and SCCM console shows that the Component Server Role has disappeared from this DP. I can now remove it from the Servers and Sites System Roles view. Solved.
