Unable to Deploy Image on Specific Model

Hi All,

 

I am trying to deploy image on HP Elite 8300 desktop and HP probook 6460b laptop via SCCM 2012. Every time i boot these model through network, it download the boot.wim files and then restarts automatically.

 

It doesnt create any log file on target computers and there is no trace of error message on SCCM 2012 server.

 

Same task sequence with same OS deploys successfully on other models.

 

I had checked for network drivers in driver package they are present over there. There is one managebility driver for WINPE is also present on HP site for above models, which I also included in package.

 

I'd also tried to cut DVD for the task sequence but has the same result.

 

Please suggest on this.

You need to inject the WINPE driver into the boot.wim.

Hi Rocket Man,

 

I had tried to inject those drivers, but it depoyment again failed. I had also mounted the BOOT.WIM file using imagex and checked wether IastorA.sys is there or not. it was there. I studuied few more blogs and found that i need to replace those files with newly released files by Intel for SATA. but it again failed. I had also given try by changing SATA to IDE in BIOS with no luck.

Hi,

Have you downloaded the WINPE 4 driver pack from HP? It should contain all the files you need. As it downloads the boot image first locally and then restarts and fails, I would make sure that the correct boot image is assigned to the Task Sequence and that you boot from it directly instead.

Hi,

 

i got this now resolved by creating new boot image file and injecting drivers only for that specific model including WINpe drivers from HP. Though I had created a seprate TS but it solved my issue.
