JustinV Posted July 5, 2013 Report post Posted July 5, 2013 Hi There, i need some help and guidance.... Current Environment: SCCM 2012 SP1 2 Servers [1 Primary Site Server and the other is a DP] I am trying to capture a Windows Embedded 7 image [HP Thin Client] I am struggling to find a way to capture the image - i have googled and cannot find anything definitive that tells me how to do it. Some sites say use the capture media but then you can only create a ISO [uSB wont help cause the server is virtual and in a datacenter far away] Have been thinking that i might have to create a "task sequence capture ISO media and then try and copy it to USB and try and boot the thin client. But there must an easier method I am sure someone must have done this before - need help please... Justin
Rocket Man Posted July 7, 2013 Report post Posted July 7, 2013 Would it be possible to set yourself up with a console on a laptop or other physical device? If so you can then select the USB device as your desired media for the image deployment!!
JustinV Posted July 8, 2013 Report post Posted July 8, 2013 Thank you - good idea... I will give it a try..I also found that it is Windows Embedded 7 that i need to capture and not WE2009 which makes things a bit easier After some investigation i found the link below which i will be trying tomorrow - hopefully this helps someone else searching https://appservices.wyse.com/supportdownload/WES/Wyse_SCCM-WEDM_Admin_Guide_JAN2012%20.pdf It is for a Wyse thin client and SCCM 2007 but the steps should be the same Thanks J
