Default Global Address List

Question

Dear All,

We have a Exchange 2007 installed centerlized for our organization with multiple office in multiple cities.

The problem is if we use the option "Hide User from Global Address List" or "Hide Group from Global Address List" and enable it then no user or group will be shown in Global Address List, and when disable it then the user or group will be shown in Global Address List.

We need to disable or remove the Global Address List from Exchange 2007 Address List menu and want to create seperate lists for individual offices with there names, and the users related to there offices will be shown in there own lists rather then in one address list.

Please help me out.

Regards,

RMA

HAve you tried creating OU's per city in AD?

i would suggest creating a new organizational unit, and inside there drop the users for a specific city or company

So that it looks like this ;;

Exchange Organization :

> OU(Country)

>> OU (City)

>>> AD Users

> OU(Country2)

>> OU (City2)

>>> AD Users2
