SCCM 2012 SP1 Breaking Windows 8

Recommended Posts

Hi,

So we've built a SCCM 2012 SP1 with CU2 test environment recently and we've performed OSD for Windows 7 perfectly, captured it back for a .wim file containing updates, software deployment, update deployment etc etc

All working wonderfully.

So we then decided to try exactly the same for Windows 8.

So we created a TS that installs Windows 8. This again works perfectly like on Windows 7

But when you get to the desktop, the SCCM Client runs it's policy updates fine the first time, picks up some software that's available, and then a few seconds later this breaks.

CCM notification agent becomes disabled and everything else changes to 'installed' and no matter what I try I can't make it work.

The only thing I can find on the internet is something about WMF 3.0 causing problems but read that this was fixed in SP1 so that wouldn't relate to us.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks!!
