SCCM 2007 R3 - Scheduler Takes long time to process.

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

We have Once Central and two Child Primary Server with SCCM 2007 R3 Environment.

for some strange reason.....Central Server Scheduler stopped or getting hung on package compression.

I have validated scheduler.log , sender.log and objrepmgr.log files to find why the scheduler is taking long time to compress package files.

There are no error message within this log file, it just still a particular package compress mode for hours and hours .

we have involved MS with SME of SCCM and we still have not found out the root cause of this slowness in file compression.

A file of 340 MB compress takes almost 12 - 15 hours which is holding of other file job process.

something like "Creating Package file \\<ServerName>\<Share Folder>\Inboxes\scheduler.box\tosend\0002F241.P4b file

Start Time 12:59:27AM "

MS....did all kinds of troubleshooting, also reset the site and still we have compress of package issue taking long time

did anybody has same kind of issue where scheduler performance is slower than a normal behaviour.

can someone help me, what other information i can look and try to resolve this issue.

Currently we are trying to replicate the package and software update only to single child primary. since we have issues with other child primary server as well. we wanted to do single job at a time.

There are no I/O ,Memory, space or disk issue with server

for reference i have attached log files

Thank You
