testsieger Posted July 23, 2013 Report post Posted July 23, 2013 hello guys, is there a guide or something about how to deploy windows 8 (including databackup) via software center? thanks a lot testsieger
Peter van der Woude Posted July 23, 2013 Report post Posted July 23, 2013 It's almost the same. Just don't give the deployment a schedule and make sure it's made available to either Only Configuration Manager Client, or Configuration Manager clients, media and PXE. anyweb Posted July 24, 2013 Report post Posted July 24, 2013 if you setup the task sequence like so you'll have the ability to capture user state from within windows and then restore it later http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/7638-how-can-i-deploy-windows-8-x64-to-the-microsoft-surface-pro-using-configuration-manager-2012-sp1/
testsieger Posted July 30, 2013 Report post Posted July 30, 2013 Another question: is there a chance to add an additional user dialogue? Like.. "Are you sure you want to continue?" -> Yes and No button
Peter van der Woude Posted July 30, 2013 Report post Posted July 30, 2013 Yeah, that's possible. Small catch, you have to create it yourself via some script, or HTA and add that as the first step of the task sequence.
