jguffain Posted August 1, 2013 Report post Posted August 1, 2013 Is it possible to list all updates for a specific collection? I am trying to update an XP machine that is in a collection of itself. When I create a search folder for XP patches, it lists patches needed for all the XP machines in my environment. Ideally, I do not want to have to deploy all of these patches when only a handful are needed for my lone XP machine. I should note, I have run reports to give me all patches for the lone machine. To deploly the patches from a report I would have to manually enter each article ID/bulletinID into a search filter. Thanks in advance. GarthMJ Posted August 1, 2013 Report post Posted August 1, 2013 Sorry there is not way to do what you want to do. You will have to do it manually like you have suggested.
jguffain Posted August 2, 2013 Report post Posted August 2, 2013 Thanks Garth. Do you know if this is possible in 2012?
GarthMJ Posted August 2, 2013 Report post Posted August 2, 2013 No you can't do this within CM12 either.
jguffain Posted August 2, 2013 Report post Posted August 2, 2013 Thanks again. Does this sound like an outlandish feature? It seems pretty logical and helpful to me.
GarthMJ Posted August 2, 2013 Report post Posted August 2, 2013 You can do this as a report just not within the console. So.... Personally I deploy everything to everyone. Feel free to submit the idea to the Microsoft connect site. Make sure that you post a link back here so that other can vote it up.
