0 Jorgen Nilsson Posted August 8, 2013 Report post Posted August 8, 2013 Hi, MDT adds additional features for instance, it sets task Sequence variables that you can use to for instance difer between laptops and desktops with the variables ISLAPTOP,ISDESKTOP and so on. You can also use defualt gateway settings in the Customsettings.ini to deploy different setttings, applications e.t.c per location. You can also use the MDT database and use Roles to assign computernames, application OU location and much much more. So basically it takes your OS deployment to the next level. regards,Jörgen
0 Barleyologist Posted August 8, 2013 Report post Posted August 8, 2013 Yes but if you do not use those "additional" features then MDT will only complicate your trouble shooting for a failed Task Sequence. Also when MDT upgrades some functions might get a face lift and break your previous task sequence.
