Software Distribution:How should I exclude few clients in the same collection

Hi,

 

I was asked to distribute the software to a collection consists of 100 clients, but out of 100 I need the Software to be distributed to 90 machines, which means rest of the 10 machines should not receive the software. Condition is that I should not create any new collection for rest of 10 machines.

 

Would be of great help if any one can guide me how to achieve this.

The simples way to do this is to create another collection and exclude those PCs. Are we talking CM07 or CM12?

Or you could deploy it via a task sequence which gives you extra criteria options like WMI query.

Create a custom task sequence and attach the software and make a WMI condition so that it does not install on the 10 machines names. doing it this way you will be able to deploy it out to the already made collection of 100 machines.
