l.hv.yang Posted August 9, 2013 Report post Posted August 9, 2013 Hey Everyone. Wondering if you have run into this situation. We have one application that fails to distribute to the DPs. We've verified that permissions (machine accounts have access) to the network share (source folder) and we don't experience failures with any other applications in the same source folder. Hoping someone can help point me in the right direction. Distmgr log shows this error (jpg attached), but i've not luck in figuring out what the root issue could be. Any ideas? Thanks! Kazi Posted August 9, 2013 Report post Posted August 9, 2013 Is this a single or multi server environment? Are you attempting to update remote distribution points or do you have 1 server that is your management point and your distribution point? l.hv.yang Posted August 9, 2013 Report post Posted August 9, 2013 Hey Kazi. This is a multi server environment. We have offloaded the MP and DP roles to 2 servers. So essentially, we have two MPs and two DPs (all servers are local...no remote servers)
Kazi Posted August 9, 2013 Report post Posted August 9, 2013 Are you getting this error on both servers, or just one? Sorry for all the questions, I'm trying to get a mental picture of your environment and when the errors occur.
l.hv.yang Posted August 9, 2013 Report post Posted August 9, 2013 Distributing to both servers 'fail.'
AmrelMahdy Posted August 10, 2013 Report post Posted August 10, 2013 I'll tell you a good Idea , try to copy the SOurce folder manually to the DPs , maybe an AV is preventing the Files from being copied to the Servers
l.hv.yang Posted August 10, 2013 Report post Posted August 10, 2013 I believe Mcafee is the culprit. I was able to duplicate the same error in my Test SCCM environment. After I disabled mcafee, the content distribution was a success! I tried distributing the content again with Mcafee enabled and it failed--Always. There must be something in the source file folder that mcafee doesn't like with this particular app..... Thanks for the tips
