Icer13 Posted September 12, 2013 Report post Posted September 12, 2013 Under the client setting in SCCM 2012 I am unable to add a new hardware inventory class, this option is greyed out. I do not have a CAS server, and have been unable to locate any information on how to enable this ability on the primary server or find a work around. jorlando Posted September 12, 2013 Report post Posted September 12, 2013 Have you double checked you launched the console with an account that has the proper permissions? That is the only time I have seen something greyed out...
Icer13 Posted September 13, 2013 Report post Posted September 13, 2013 The account I am using is set as a full administrator, so I should have access to everything. Any other postings I have seen on this topic have mentioned doing this on the CAS server, but for my deployment I did not need one. Icer13 Posted September 13, 2013 Report post Posted September 13, 2013 Found the solution to my problem. You have to add the classes in the default client settings. I was trying to do this in the settings group that I had created for my desktop systems.
