Rozey Posted September 16, 2013 Report post Posted September 16, 2013 Hey Everyone, ok just a quick setup, we are running sccm 2007 vs 4.00.6487.2000 (which should be the latest in the 2007 series from what i have read) on Server 2008 R2, My sccm clients (which have been verified are the latest version) are reporting in with client installed and approved so all looks good there. We are running one SCCM server for everything. I am trying to advertise office 2013 to deploy to my users, i can build the package > setup the advertisement > and it broadcasts just fine to my test computers, even when editing the package it will broadcast the latest version of the package just fine, have verified in the CAS.log files that it can initialize the wmi successfully and is looking for the correct distribution package, however when running the advertisement (Error Attached) i get a "The Requested software cannot be located". I am thinking this might be a boundaries problem (Not Sure) but i have the boundaries configured as so, Default-First-Site-name and then have added each our subnets in our domain as well. Anybody have any suggestions of were i should start looking at next, been at this for about a week now and its got me scratching my head now
Rozey Posted September 16, 2013 Report post Posted September 16, 2013 Some more info. Here is the output of the execmgr.log for the installation event, MachineName, PackageName, PackageVersion, ProgramName, and SiteCode are all correct, as for the win32ErrorCode, not sure if this helps but i do have the DP configured to allow intranet-only client connections as well as have the Check box allow clients to transfer content from DP using BITS, HTTP, and HTTPS [sMS_CodePage(437), SMS_LocaleID(1033)]instance of SoftDistErrorNoContent{AdvertisementId = "DMS20018";ClientID = "GUID:EF8D7AAD-ABB0-48F2-A714-0D1E4FC32B38";DateTime = "20130916131247.668000+000";MachineName = "PC0386";PackageName = "DMS00054";PackageVersion = "2";ProcessID = 1160;ProgramName = "Install office 2013";SiteCode = "DMS";ThreadID = 3948;Win32ErrorCode = 2147516932;};]LOG]!><time="08:12:47.668+300" date="09-16-2013" component="execmgr" context="" type="1" thread="3948" file="event.cpp:525"><![LOG[Called delete and free Request for advert , package DMS00054, program Install office 2013]LOG]!><time="08:12:47.683+300" date="09-16-2013" component="execmgr" context="" type="1" thread="3948" file="pendingreq.cpp:72"><![LOG[Execution request deleted for package DMS00054 program Install office 2013, advert ]LOG]!><time="08:12:47.683+300" date="09-16-2013" component="execmgr" context="" type="1" thread="3948" file="executionrequest.cpp:418">
rddvls1999 Posted September 19, 2013 Report post Posted September 19, 2013 I would check the clientlocation.log file first, see what MP your client is communicating with, then verify that the package is present on the DP.
