Build and capture

Hi

 

My SCCM server is on a V-Lan with no DHCP, so i am having trouble getting my build and capture TS to work on a VM i have created. i can't PXE boot as no ip is given to the VM, i created boot media and gave the VM a static ip in PE, but the TS fails, i think it is because the VM can't connect back to SCCM when it boots into Win7 to do the capture.

Check the boudarys, because the IP you give the machine needs to be in the SCCM boudary (one of them atleast). Did you check that? can you even start the TS? i woudl recommend doing the process in MDT instead if you have that option

I have added a static IP to the unattend file this has moved on the TS, it starts ok and looks good, as in sysprep task starts but when it gets to the caputre task it booms with a 0x0000002 error

Are you using the right boot image (x64/x86)? Do you apply any drivers into these boot images?

 

what does your smsts.log file say about the error?

I am using x86 boot image with no drivers, i didn't i needed them as it was booting to a VM.
