leusa Posted October 7, 2013 Report post Posted October 7, 2013 Hello everybody I'm bussy installing sccm 2012 Configuration Manager in our enviroment. Now i got the following Problem: we are using an SQL Server 2012 with the default Collation and some DBs on it. new the SCCM 2012 DB should be on this SQL Server. But unfortunately this DB needs an other Collation. Is it not possible to change the Collation only on the SCCM DB? I Really dont want to run a new SQL Server to use SCCM. Someone solved this problem allready? many thanks for your help

Bendes Posted October 7, 2013 Report post Posted October 7, 2013 Maybe not the best advice but in your place I would add a new named instance to your SQL Server with the right Collation configured...

I just have the Option to get a new SQL Server with the right collation or a other named instance? It is not possible to run CM12 with any other collation and you want you temp db to be the same collation too. As an aside I NEVER recommend that SQL be remote from CM12.
