bowers01 Posted October 20, 2013 Report post Posted October 20, 2013 Hi, Got an issue where sccm makes the client boot "boot\x64\wdsnbp.com" instead of "smsboot\x64\wdsnbp.com" the settings are right in DHCP but it still does it. Any suggestions?Cheers, http://i41.tinypic.com/jjqvf5.jpghttp://i41.tinypic.com/2j4r1qd.jpg
Rocket Man Posted October 21, 2013 Report post Posted October 21, 2013 You are using DHCP options (not recommended and unsupported by Microsoft). The thing is it will work (for a while) and then eventually you will see the line in your PXE boot attempt USING DHCP REFERRAL. You will have to configure IP helpers, to overcome this issue. Hi, We don't have access to the router(which I believe you need to configure for ip helpers?) Its a simple network with no vlans. I cant see how wds worked fine but sccm cant. Rocket Man Posted October 22, 2013 Report post Posted October 22, 2013 Did you manually configure WDS in anyway? DHCP options are definitely not needed in a single VLAN network.
