kingbuzzo Posted October 21, 2013 Report post Posted October 21, 2013 Is that even possible or do I need to start over?
conorofarrell Posted October 21, 2013 Report post Posted October 21, 2013 There's one here. I've not tried it yet. Let me know how you get on if you give it a try: http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/8451-how-can-i-install-system-center-2012-r2-configuration-manager/ Con
Rocket Man Posted October 21, 2013 Report post Posted October 21, 2013 That guide is for SP1 to R2. Not sure if it is a supported path to upgrade from non-Sp1 directly to R2. But there would be no need to start from scratch as you could first upgrade to SP1 first and then to R2. Here is the guide for upgrading to SP1 first and then you could use this for upgrading to R2 bearing in mind to download the RTM versions first. kingbuzzo Posted October 22, 2013 Report post Posted October 22, 2013 Ok I confirmed that there is no supported way to get from Rnone to R2. That being said it looks like I have my work cut-out for me. After I upgrade to SP1, do I have to auto-upgrade the clients to SP1 before I upgrade again to R2? Is there any caveats or risk that I would introduce in doing so? Thanks

Rocket Man Posted October 25, 2013 Report post Posted October 25, 2013 You can upgrade to R2 directly after SP1 and then enable upgrade client. Should be fine. Dont think there should be any need to upgrade clients twice.
kingbuzzo Posted November 5, 2013 Report post Posted November 5, 2013 Ok Rocket Man...I'm going with your advice as I cannot seem to find any other! Thanks!
Peter van der Woude Posted November 5, 2013 Report post Posted November 5, 2013 Correct! You need at least ConfigMgr 2012 SP1 before you can upgrade to ConfigMgr 2012 R2.
