Use my own custom unattend.xml file with SCCM 2012

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Is there something I have to do to make my task sequence use my own custom unattend.xml file?

I have marked the checkbox that says "Use an unattended or Sysprep answer file for custom installation" and pointed out the package + the file, but when I'm trying to deploy a computer it generates it's own unattend.xml file and totally ignore mine. (I can see it in C:\Windows\Panther\Unattended\unattend.xml

It's also distrubuted to my dist point.

Am I missing something?

I even tried to create an MDT setting package and use that, but it's still not working. The computer ignores that file aswell.

I made an simple xml to set a computername (I know I don't have to do it with xml but I just wanted to try it out).

Thanks in advanced.
