In place upgrade of Server 2008 R2 to Server 2012 R2 running Sccm2012R2

Has anybody successfuly upgraded their SCCM2012R2 Server operating system from Server 2008R2 to Server 2012R2?

 

I have gone through the process of upgrading my Configuration Manager from 2012-->2012SP1-->2012R2 but it's still running on Server 2008R2 and using SQL Server 2008R2 as it's database on a seperate server.

 

I'm just wondering what implications that would cause to do an in-place upgrade of the server OS from 2008R2 to 2012R2?

 

I'm worried about a whole jump in IIS versions too since we are heavy users of the Application Catalogue.

 

Has anybody done this soft of upgrade before?
