TimBoothby Posted November 21, 2013 Report post Posted November 21, 2013 Hi, I'm pretty new to SCCM and have found this site invaluable - so big thanks first of all. I've got SCCM handling our Windows updates - single server install, WSUS & SCCM 2012 SP1 on same server. This has been running fine for a couple of months until one day this week, midway through deploying the Patch Tuesday updates clients were getting stuck on "Preparing to download". Looking into this further, the list of All Software Updates on the server is now empty! (Earlier in the week this listed thousands of updates) The WSUS control panel shows all the updates and is syncing correctly. When I try and sync SCCM wsyncmgr.log shows all the updates being skipped which I believe is normal behavior if the updates are already synced - which they should be. So where have all my updates gone, why can't I see them? As far as I know nothing changed, they were there one evening and gone the next day. Thanks, Tim
TimBoothby Posted November 21, 2013 Report post Posted November 21, 2013 Well, I've partially solved the problem. Digging around I found the Site Status page was showing Critical status for the Management Point. Re-installing the MP seems to have got the updates downloading again although the list of updates on the server is still empty.
