how do we deploy windows license while deploying captured windows image with WDS?

Thank you so much for the WDS articles, that helped me a lot. BTW, I have a question regarding the windows copyright, if we deploy a captured image on to multiple computers, how do we deploy the windows licence to these client computers? I know once it joined the domain, it would be activated, but I don't know why. Thank you.

 

Another question is which is performing better between MDT and WDS? It seems MDT is more popular.

I guess the licenses are deployed on the Server as I know once a client was joined to the domain, then it would be automatically activated. But I don't know how to deploy the licenses on the Server.

I got the answer, It is actually volume licensing service center. vlsc.

Hallo, I arrive a little late but I hope to help a little. In my case we use a volume licenses. Then, the license key is injected during the unattended installation. You can do it using scripts naturally. The new system knows that we have a license server in our network. Sometimes you need to activate using comand line as for example

 

1. At the command prompt, type the following: cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs –skms YOURLICENSESERVER
2. At the command prompt, type the following: cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs /ato
