smspxe Posted December 9, 2013 Report post Posted December 9, 2013 I have just installed a new test lab for Sccm 2012 R2 in hyper-v for testing different deployment scenarios. I have experience from sccm 2007 R3 in a production enviroment and sccm 2012 in lab. But when I started to test deployment in R2 I ran into different problems, like the Windows 7 SP1 installs on partition D. With the OSDPreserveDriveLetter variable I successfully captured a Windows 7 image wich was installed on C. When I try to deploy this without the OSDPreserveDriveLette Windows installs on D. With the variable, it installs on C but then the sccm Client is broken. I have read several guides how to fix this but with no luck. Anyone have a solution to this? Thanks in advance. anyweb Posted December 9, 2013 Report post Posted December 9, 2013 when you captured the image did you specify OSDPreserveDriveLetter or not ? I do when capturing and then there's NO NEED to specify that variable in the deploy task sequence.
