Client reinstall certificate issue

Recommended Posts

I noticed an odd bug in my SCCM 2012 environment. I had to delete the client from the SCCM console and when I ran the discovery data on the client end. The client is showing a PKI certificate now. Normally it would be a self-signed certificate. I even tried to uninstall and reinstall the client with the smssitecode=auto switch, same result. Is there anyway to force the SCCM client to use the self-signed cert? I don't have PKI set up in my environment and when the client is showing PKI, it does not communicate with my Primary/MP server.
