namahs Posted January 7, 2014 Report post Posted January 7, 2014 Sorry for the double post, might have posted this in the SCCM 2007 forum instead. The workstation are being managed via SCCM 2012. Does anyone know what the pros/cons of deploying using Software Updates compared to using the Application deployment method? I already deployed all the IE 10 pre-reqs via Software Updates. I am leaning towards Application deployment since I can create a customized msi file using IEAK and I believe the installation will check and automatically install the pre-reqs. Just wanted to get advice from people that already done this. Thanks in advance.
Peter van der Woude Posted January 7, 2014 Report post Posted January 7, 2014 When you want to deploy a customized version of IE, you can't deploy via Software Updates. So in this scenario the Application model is the best method...
