Windows Updates In Progress, Not Showing On Workstations

I've just started setting up Configuration Manager 2012 mostly using these guides. I've been using the Standalone Primary Server guides as we have decided to go with just the one primary Config Manager server. I've made it through the first 5 guides and am stuck on deploying software updates. I've been able to successfully pull the updates down, create a software update group, and deploy the updates. Whenever I deploy the updates to my two test machines I wait and after a while it indicates that the deployment is in progress:

 

When I go to check my test machines there is no indication that there is any patching being done either in the Windows Updates area or the Software Center:

 

 

 

I'm not sure which logs would specifically help but I can provide them as asked, here is my GP that is applied to the test workstations:
