drewz99 Posted February 6, 2014 Report post Posted February 6, 2014 I have been asked to grant one of our admins permissions to view available updates with Configuration Manager, and approve them to only his machine. What would the best way to accomplish this be?
Edenost Posted February 6, 2014 Report post Posted February 6, 2014 I'm not sure or even aware if it's possible to be as specific as that, but a good start would be to go in to "Administration\Security\Security Roles", make a copy of "Software Update Manager" and edit the permissions that copied group will have. Then add the Admin in question to SCCM "Administrative Users" and assign him the newly created role. Hopefully someone else here might know some more, but I could say that's a good place to start at least
drewz99 Posted February 6, 2014 Report post Posted February 6, 2014 I was going to attempt that, but I was not sure if that would work? I'll let you the outcome. Thank you for your reply.
